The useful unit is not a generic “safe supplier” score. It is a specific question, a named source, a query date, a visible result and a stated limitation.
What the desk does
For international buyers, the desk organises China company identity and public-record questions, performs approved human checks against named public sources, and returns a dated snapshot. The site also publishes checklists that help buyers separate legal identity, factory capability, certificates, samples, orders, inspections and payment controls.
Its future factory showcase criteria use the same approach: evidence is scoped, dated and separated from supplier claims. A profile is never a supplier approval.
How evidence is handled
Records are matched to the exact Chinese legal name or Unified Social Credit Code where available. The desk records what was visible at the time of the check, distinguishes source facts from interpretation, and preserves portal access failures as limitations instead of turning them into “no record” claims.

What the desk cannot prove
We do not claim that a registry match makes a supplier safe. A public record does not prove current factory control, product conformity, quality, delivery, payment safety or a risk-free transaction. A checklist is not an audit, legal opinion, certification or buyer release.
Use appropriate legal, compliance, testing, inspection, banking and commercial professionals when the order or risk requires them.
